So, welcome to the most wonderful, immersive, and exciting bar-hopping tour in Shinjuku! This exclusive experience is curated by Mr. Omori, president of ‘H14,’ a publishing company known for its book-magazine hybrid (mook) showcasing Shinjuku’s hidden bars. He has also appeared on renowned Japanese TV programs such as Matsuko no Shiranai Sekai to introduce some of the most secret drinking spots in Shinjuku. As a well-known expert on the area, he has personally selected each stop for this tour.

This tour offers a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in Japanese hashigozake culture while visiting restaurants that are rarely explored, even by locals!

For this experience, we have chosen three unique spots in three different districts.

The journey begins at Omoide Yokocho, originally a black market 80 years ago, now transformed into a nostalgic alleyway with a rich history. Our first stop is on Naka-dori Street, the heart of Omoide Yokocho, where you can savor specialty dishes such as stews, yakitori, and other traditional delicacies.

Next, we take a 10-minute walk to Kabukicho, the vibrant entertainment district of Shinjuku. Along the way, enjoy the stunning night views and engage in conversation with your guide. Here, you will indulge in a delicious meal while getting insider tips on the best places to visit in Japan.

Finally, we head to Golden Gai, an area with over 80 years of history, featuring nearly 300 tiny bars, each with its own character. Previously a red-light district, Golden Gai has now evolved into a unique hub for bar culture. We have special access to hidden spots that most visitors never get to see! Enjoy an intimate atmosphere, chat with bar owners, and soak in the one-of-a-kind energy of Golden Gai.

You’ll be surprised at how quickly the three-and-a-half-hour tour flies by! This is an experience you won’t find anywhere else.

• Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes

Meeting time

• 10 minutes before the tour starting time.
• The guide will be waiting in front of the entrance of “Omoide Yokocho” next to “UNIQLO Shinjuku Nishiguchi Store”, 1-1-1 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 160-0023, holding a Frog Tour flag.
